1980 and has an industry reputation for providing quality, reliable, and safe crew transportation services.
What is Crew Transportation?
Most of us never think about how railroad
train crews get home after they drive trains to their destinations, but those crews need to return
home and new, rested crews need to be taken to those trains. In a nutshell, the process of driving those
crews from point to point is crew transportation.
Much like a shuttle service, PTI receives around-the-clock
requests from our railroad customers to pick up and drop off train crews. PTI dispatchers match up drivers with
these trips and the drivers safely transport the crews to their destinations. Taking place thousands of times a day,
these trips can range from a few miles to a few hundred miles.

PTI has set the industry standard
for safety with our world-class safety program. The primary objective of the safety program is to insure that our
drivers are the safest and most well-trained drivers on the road in order to eliminate collisions and prevent injuries.
Therefore, we train all of our drivers with a curriculum that includes courses such as: National Safety Council
Defensive Driving, National Safety Council Attitudinal Dynamics, P.A.C.E. Yourself, Operation Lifesaver, Recognizing the Symptoms
of Fatigue, Animal Collision Avoidance, Safely Operating Near Tracks, and Winter Driving.
