Ronald Romain is Executive Chairman of United Companies which is comprised of Professional Transportation, Inc., Romain Automotive Group, United Leasing & Finance, and Tri-State Aero.

Mr. Romain holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of Southern Indiana (USI). He is active in a number of civic and charitable organizations including the University of Southern Indiana Board of Trustees and Board of Visitors, Regency Commercial Associates Board of Managers, Koch Enterprises Board of Directors, Southwest Indiana Business Leaders Early Childhood Roundtable, Signature School Foundation Board of Directors, Golf Gives Back Board of Directors, and as Chairman of the Evansville Regional Business Committee.

Amy Romain Barron is Chief Executive Officer of United Companies which is comprised of Professional Transportation, Inc., Romain Automotive Group, United Leasing & Finance, and Tri-State Aero. Amy is the third generation of Romain family ownership. She has been involved in different aspects of the companies for over 20 years. 

Ms. Romain Barron holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University. She is involved with numerous civic and community organizations, currently serving as President of the Evansville Day School Board of Trustees and as a member of the Welborn Baptist Foundation Board of Directors. Her past involvements include serving the First Federal Savings Bank Board, Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation Foundation as President, YWCA as a Board Member, Habitat for Humanity, and the Leadership Everyone (formerly Leadership Evansville) Board of Directors as Vice President.

Rick Schulz Bio

Rick Schulz is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of United Companies which is comprised of Professional Transportation, Inc., Romain Automotive Group, United Leasing & Finance, and Tri-State Aero. He directly manages the company’s accounting, finance, and treasury departments. Mr. Schulz has been with the companies for over 30 years. Prior to United Companies, he worked in Indianapolis with a regional public accounting firm and with RCA, General Electric, and Thomson Consumer Electronics holding various financial management roles.

Mr. Schulz graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Indianapolis. He earned the CPA designation in 1986 and is a member of American Institute of CPAs, CPA Society, among other professional organizations.

Mr. Schulz is actively involved with numerous philanthropic organizations. He is a past Chairman of the Board and current Advisory Board member for Youth First and past Chairman of the Board and Executive Board member for the Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville (GAGE).

Ryan Kassenbrock joined PTI in June 1999 and served in various roles of increasing responsibility in Accounting, Finance, Operations, Dispatch and Operations Support. Prior to his promotion as COO of PTI in 2016, Mr. Kassenbrock was Vice President of Administration. He has played a key role in automating Dispatch operations and integrating key processes across the company. He is a Green Belt, a graduate of United University and currently serves as the Chairman of the PTI QIT. He is an Evansville, IN native, a graduate of Mater Dei High School and earned a degree in Accounting from the University of Southern Indiana. Ryan and his wife Natalie are the proud parents of three daughters.

Brad Harrison is a graduate of Ball State University and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Mr. Harrison is a Certified Public Accountant. Upon graduation, he joined Citizens Bank in Evansville, Indiana initially in the Commercial Credit Department and was subsequently promoted to Commercial Loan Officer.

In 1978, Mr. Harrison joined an Evansville based Accounting Firm. Over the next 10 years he received a number of promotions and became a Partner in the Firm. In 1992, Mr. Harrison founded the Accounting Firm, Vowells, Harrison and Co. CPA’s focusing on Accounting and Taxation for clients in the Evansville area.

One of the larger clients of the Firm was Ronald Romain and United Leasing & Finance In that capacity, Mr. Harrison was involved as a consultant in the formation of both Romain Buick, Inc and Professional Transportation, Inc.

In 1998, he joined United Leasing & Finance of Evansville, Indiana as Director of Accounting managing the daily accounting functions for the Leasing Company. Mr. Harrison was subsequently promoted to Vice President of Accounting for United Companies.

Dick Lynch Bio
Dick Lynch joined United Companies in 2015 as Executive Vice President of Human Resources. He has extensive HR experience in numerous roles throughout his notable career including management consultant, strategic advisor and executive coach with 30+ years of experience. He has worked in executive HR roles at two Fortune 50 companies as well as led a merger of equals as the SVP of HR.

Mr. Lynch earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Evansville with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and holds Master degrees in Business Administration, Human Resource Management and Organizational Management from the University of Northern Colorado.

Meagan Brien

Meagan Brien joined United Companies in 2022 as Vice President & General Counsel.  Meagan was previously a partner at the law firm Dentons Bingham Greenbaum LLP, part of a large, multinational law firm, where she focused on corporate litigation, fiduciary litigation, and outside business counsel, all for a variety of industries.  This outside business counsel emphasis allowed her to problem solve for her clients, which included large and small closely held businesses, nonprofits, and financial institutions.  Meagan is licensed to practice law in Indiana, Illinois, and her native Kentucky.  She has practiced before the state and federal courts of these jurisdictions, as well as numerous administrative bodies.  

During her almost twelve years in private practice, Meagan was recognized seven times as an Indiana Rising Star by Thomson Reuters, earned the state-wide award from the Indiana Lawyer as a Leadership in the Law Up and Coming Lawyer, and locally was awarded the Perdue Leadership Award for service to the Evansville Bar Association.  Meagan earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Kentucky and received her Juris Doctorate from the McKinney School of Law, Indiana University – Indianapolis.  Meagan enjoys being active in her community and has served on numerous boards including that of Evansville Day School, the Evansville Bar Association, University of Kentucky Alumni Club (Greater Henderson Chapter), The Literacy Center, and the Junior League of Evansville.
